We all are pretty fierce as solo fighters but I noticed there is a lack of team work when it comes to group battles. So next practice I think it would be a good idea to focus on this issue. Those that stay on field (Samurai, Souhei, Bushi) Should stay as either a large group with a little distance to cover more ground and push the enemy back or in small squads to surround the enemy. Shinobi usually do there on thing but it is a good idea to have a wingman.

When you find the group has been scattered always look for the closes allies and try to join up with them to get a group of maybe three going. We may be on the field to die but if you want to win you've got to die smart. Retreat is a form of strategy as well. If you are one vs two than fighting won't wouldn't be ridiculous but once numbers start to get higher your chances of winning slim by a lot because they can easily surround you.

Also, cooperate with each other. Blindly running into battle without some sort of plan can easily get you trapped. Die with honor and intelligence. Losing your life to stupid moves does not benefit your team at all. I just want you all to think about this next time we are on the field and take it to heart. It might take a while but I think we will be able to fight as a unified group if we make the effort.

"Outside of Japan, people think Bushido is synonymous with harakiri. Actually, the meaning of Bushido is to achieve something in this world and then to be able to throw away this body and accept death. But this concept is very easily misunderstood. It's really quite different from just going out and dying. If you fail to achieve something and say "Oh, I must kill myself" it's not a very productive way of thinking. Bushido rejects that irresponsible way of thinking. There is also in Bushido the concept of continuing to live even though you may have to live in shame. If there is a way to right the wrong you've done, then you should do so. This is the real Bushido." -Risuke Otake, current head of the major branch of Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu.

From what I notice, tying into what Lesly is saying, is that everyone either wants to be a hero in a battle or just mindlessly rushes into a fight. irresponsible.

It is true.. I myself.. Want to do that, but to tell the Truth I Don't want to be a "Hero" in this case... I want to be remembered and I want to kick ass but fact of the matter is, trying to show off isn't necessarily going to win battles all the time, Respecting and Relying upon your Family and Friends(Clan) is not a weakness and in Satsu I believe that Is.. One of our Main Strengths, Something we need to work on, but something we do have.

I have an idea that has been kicked around between kyle and zaya and I, not sure but maybe a few others have heard about it. We should make like "permanent" squads. That way those 3-6 people always fight together and are able to learn how to read each others' movements and basically communicate without speaking. But they need to spend a lot of time together in order to get used to each other. This would be a very valuable skill on the battlefield, in any size battle. I was thinking of having a couple samurai-core squads, a couple/few shinobi squads, and a mixed squad or two.

That actually sounds like a great idea. Getting this to work would require a lot of discipline but the results would be amazing if it is pulled off.

I have to agree, i like this Idea.. On the other hand I also think that as Clan, Satsu.. we need to be able to do that Altogether regardless of squads or group we need to be able to function as one, as we've been told before.

I'm not saying Groups or Squads isn't a bad thing.. but i also think that Entirety Group Focus would be nice too. (Then again I haven't been to campout yet, so don't take my word for it)

We should Build on this idea, At Least. (Start a Forum)

Well I have heard the idea a few different times, where groups of 3 or 4 were to be made and then every two months or so switch people around. I really loved the last idea when we were at freedom park doing the class training - that really got people to work individually on class abilities and weapon training, yet also as a small squad - also small groups would be better for the teacher to watch and correct everyone, as opposed to one large group where 1/3 of the people are distracted by everything else around them (lol). And people could work on leadership and teaching skills if they feel so inclined, to help teach when one of the "regulars" can't make it out. Switching every 20-30 minutes between "subjects", maybe a 5 minute break should alieve any boredom. Alternating a few hours of this with an hour or so of battling and being able to employ the previously learn-ed tactics would be great. I would really love to see this idea materialize.

I was a huge fan of that idea as well. We may start doing that again, soon. Until then, my practices are the only general skills practices.

So, at least weeks practice I made sure the team I was on had some tactics before rushing into battle as well as keeping people together. It seemed to have worked out pretty well, especially in the first battle. So I say that before every battle, each team gets together and form some sort of tactic, even if it's basic it can truly make a difference on the battle field.

Also, try not to be alone for too long, even shinobi, always have someone close to help you out when you start to get out numbered.
