As a whole, we all learn to be proficient with a katana. I believe though we should also try to get everyone used to other weapons like daggers, spears, and nagis. Have a bear pit for each weapon and everyone would switch off after a set amount of time. It would improve our range of capability and broaden everyone's experience. Just throwing an idea out there.

as soon as we have more naginata and spears, this is something we plan on doing. this way we have well rounded warriors regardless of the class you prefer to play as.

I feel as if we all train with everything we'll never really be at a disadvantage either, we'll know how to use it, how to defend and counter vs that weapon..

“You should not have a favorite weapon. To become over-familiar with one weapon is as much a fault as not knowing it sufficiently well.... It is bad for commanders and troops to have likes and dislikes.” The Book of Five Rings
