These, along with Belle's japanese style jackets would look sexy as fuck.
Sorry, didn't mean to butt in on the convo but Kevin and I got some of our equipment here since its cheaper than the martial arts store near here.

*5 yards of black fabric @ $3-4/yard = $15 (with or w/o sleeves)
*1'5" satsu logo on back (time consuming..need wax paper) $10 (- applicable satsu discounts)
*personal logos on the front (name, pic, whatever) $5-7ish depending on colors and intricacy
=$30ish total
If they have a jacket or gi top I could just paint it would be ideal and less time consuming (sewing those jackets are a bit of a pain)
I haven't tried to make hakama pants yet, and don't plan on it if there is any other option.
